This morning we started the 30-hour day that will span the Atlantic and 6 time zones. We didn’t have to wake up before the sun, and any day that includes an airport and a reasonable alarm clock is a winner, even if it means we’re at the end of our trip!

Dublin airport is one of just a few in the world that has advanced customs in place - meaning that we went through US customs right before we entered the terminal to board our plane, instead of having to do it on arrival in Washington, DC. This was great for not having to deal with a customs delay while tying to catch our next flight, but the tiny US passport stamp is totally showed up by the big green Irish one above it.
